Charleston Museum Mad Science & Museum Mania Camp

This full day camp is a combination of Museum Camp and Mad Science Camp.  Begin your day exploring the collections of the Charleston Museum learning about Ancient Egypt, dinosaurs, pirates, and more.  After lunch campers will mix it up with the Mad Science staff creating chemical reactions and building simple machines.  Price includes crafts, activities, admission, and a snack (lunch not included). 2013 RiverDogs Youth Baseball Camp is July 10-12. Join the Charleston RiverDogs players and coaches this summer to learn the game of baseball from future New York Yankees! The RiverDogs have a strong commitment to developing young talent in the Charleston area. That commitment begins with the strength of their coaching staff, all of whom believe that first and foremost, baseball should be FUN! Kids will learn introductory skills and reinforce the game’s fundamentals—hitting, catching, fielding, throwing and agilities. The camp runs daily from 9am – 1pm, each child will receive lunch daily, a camp t-shirt and a goodie bag. If your child is ready to learn about the game of baseball and have FUN, this is the camp for them!

Sol Surfers

Each week long (M-F) surf camp session includes all gear, a Sol Surfers/ Billabong T-shirt, snacks, certificate of achievement, goody bag provided by Billabong, 6-1student/ instructor ratio to best meet each child’s abilities and comfort level. This package is most recommended for the young beginner/intermediate ages 8-15. New concepts are introduced each day. Instruction takes place on the beach and in the water. Technical skills are covered as well as safety and etiquette, wind, weather and water conditions, how to select gear and how to read the ocean and watch for the best ride! Camp hours are 9:00am-12:30pm @ E. 8thStreet Folly Beach. Shuttle is provided to and from the beach. Private and group lessons and birthday parties are also available and can be arranged by appointment.

Fam Jam is a FREE family festival that celebrates homegrown family fun and the power of play with no sugar added! Moms Run and Family Fun Day

Moms’ Run + Family Fun Day is 8am Saturday, May 11 at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island. This 10th annual event is a fundraiser for Postpartum Support Charleston. The event begins with a 5K run/walk followed by Family Fun Day with food, entertainment and activities for children. Race registration is $25; $30 for stroller registration (includes child T-shirt); $15 for children 10 and under. Prices increase May 1. The Charleston Museum

Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center

The Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center (DNLCC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving victims of child abuse and neglect in Charleston and Berkeley counties.  Their mission is to keep children safe from abuse, and when abuse occurs, to work with our community to bring healing to these children and their families. By bringing together child protective services, law enforcement, medical, legal, educational, and mental health professionals, DNLCC provides a coordinated approach to helping children and their families at no cost.
